The Pierces – New Video – “Turn on Billie”

Since early 2007, these two sisters from Alabama have legitimately transformed from a rather typical female folk act to something much sexier, darker and really, just all-around cooler. If you’ve seen Catherine and Allison Pierce’s video for their song “Boring,” you know they’ve become anything but.

And so now, more than two years after Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge hit stores, the Pierces unveiled another video a few days ago for one of the stronger tracks off the album, “Turn on Billie.” You might say it’s time for another record instead of more videos, and I whole-heartedly agree…except this video is their best since “Boring.” While that one embraced a naughty stark black and white, this one is all bright lights and bold colors. It’s slightly more restrained, but with the girls slipping around in their black flapper dresses, not that restrained.
